About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and quality-driven QA Engineer to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to understand testing needs.
• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on project requirements.
• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, track, and report bugs and defects using tools such as Jira.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure application stability.
• Validate application functionality, user workflows, data accuracy, and business logic.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent application behavior.
• Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Perform basic database testing and data validation using SQL queries.
• Maintain accurate test documentation, test results, and defect reports.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and requirement discussions.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and release validation activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and overall product quality.

Required Skills

• 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or software quality engineering.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Experience in preparing test cases, test scenarios, and test reports.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Experience with bug-tracking tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
• Basic understanding of API testing tools such as Postman.
• Knowledge of database testing and basic SQL queries.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
• Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is preferred.
• Experience with performance testing tools and security testing concepts is an added advantage.
